Die Strelitzia nicolai, auch Paradiesvogelblume genannt, ist eine große grüne Zimmerpflanze, die Sonnenlicht liebt. Mit seinen schönen großen grünen Blättern füllt es die leere Ecke eines Raumes perfekt. Die ursprünglich aus Südafrika stammende Strelitzie kann in der vollen Sonne bis zu 10 Meter hoch werden! Diese Zimmerpflanze ist auch für ihre wunderschönen Blüten bekannt, die in der Wildnis wachsen. Die Blüten ähneln Paradiesvögeln, weshalb die Pflanze auch „Paradiesvogelpflanze“ oder „Paradiesvogel“ genannt wird! Leider blüht diese Zimmerpflanze im Haus nicht sehr schnell, aber die schönen großen grünen Blätter sind eine Freude für sich. Gelegentlich können Risse im Blatt auftreten. Dies ist für die Paradiesvogelblume völlig natürlich und kein Grund zur Sorge. Wird zusammen mit dem Lissabon-Korb geliefert. Dieser aus umweltfreundlicher Jute hergestellte Pflanzenkorb strahlt Robustheit aus und passt in verschiedene Innenräume. Mit seinen natürlichen Farbtönen und dem weißen Boden ist dieser Korb ideal für verschiedene Zimmerpflanzen. Die Stoffe werden im Rahmen des nachhaltigen Terima Kasih-Projekts handgewebt und im Produktionsprozess kommen vollständig biologisch abbaubare Fasern ohne fossile Brennstoffe zum Einsatz.
