Wurzellose Sukkulenten werden in einem Anzuchttopf gezüchtet und erreichen die richtige Größe. Wenn die Rosette der Pflanze groß genug ist, wird sie aus der Blumenerde herausgeschnitten. Echeveria gehört wie Crassula, Pachyphytum und Pachyveria zur Familie der Crassulaceae. Echeverien wachsen im Nordosten Mexikos. Ein Gebiet mit hauptsächlich Wüsten und trockenen Hügellandschaften. Hier wächst die Echeveria auf einer felsigen Oberfläche.

Eine Echeveria hat eine Rosette aus fleischigen Blättern und eine enorme Farbvielfalt. Die Farben können von tiefgrün bis rötlich variieren. Es gibt Arten mit wollig behaarten Blättern und Arten, die völlig glatt sind. Es ist eine fantastische Sukkulente mit vielen Möglichkeiten.
